The Borders Road Running League was formed in 1983 by a number of new running clubs in North Wales and the western part of Cheshire. The aim was to provide inter-club competition between teams of member clubs on a competitive yet friendly basis.  All races take place on Sundays, apart from the relay which is a midweek event.

This series is our best attended set of events with 6 races followed by a club relay running as one race each month from October to May, excluding February. All races are on road/pavements and athletes compete as teams and individually.

All members must be registered with their first claim club, unless their first team club is not registered to take part in the Borders League, therefore a member can run as "second claim". All scoring and rules are clearly listed on the Borders League Website. Each race is £3 per member to be given to the team captain.
